Beets can easily grow in containers. You can grow them indoors during most seasons and have an endless supply that you can add to your dishes or your morning smoothies.

When growing beets, you don’t have to transfer them from one container to another. Believe it or not, you just need to grow them undisturbed! Sow the seeds thinly in plant containers and weed out the extra ones, or transfer to another planter after a couple of weeks.

Artichokes have an acquired taste — but, they can be very expensive too! Instead of spending that extra money, just grab a plant box or pot and grow your own!

Artichokes grow well in any containers and don’t have any special growing conditions. Since they take a bit longer to germinate, it is ideal to plant them during fall and harvest them in spring.

Onions are great in adding flavor to many dishes and soups. They are known to grow well in containers too, for as long as you give them adequate space.

When planting onions, choose a planter that is at least five inches deep, to allow the onion to grow to full bulb size.

Mushrooms are a great healthy addition to your diet. They are high in fiber, but, low in calories. Plus, they are very simple to grow — even during winter!

Also with Parsley as well as Cilantro my own experience has taught me to wear long sleeves and gloves when interacting with them as they can often cause a rash. My neighbor has no issue with either but, if I get too close my arms break out and I itch for days.

Here are the ones I used last year:

They were well priced and super easy to manipulate, as needed

Chives are used in different dishes, making it an ideal herb to grow in your kitchen.

Chives are easy to grow indoors. You need to use clay pots filled with potting soil. Since this herb needs constant sunlight during the day, you should consider using a fluorescent lamp if direct sunlight is not accessible.

Since chives require adequate humidity, you can ensure a constant level of air moisture by placing them between other potted plants or you can use a cold mist humidifier.
